Girls BB: Hershey defeats LexingtonTell North Platte what you think

The Hershey girls basketball team jumped out to a big 16-3 lead in the first quarter Tuesday against Lexington and cruised to a 41-22 win.

Hershey (13-3) used a balanced offensive attack and a focused defense.

"We knew Casey Seberger is good offensively, so we made it a point to slow her down. I was really proud of our defense," Hershey Coach Jeremy Thomas said.

Seberger scored eight points in the game to lead the Minutemaid offense.

Daynlee Miller scored 12 points for Hershey and teammate Maddie Seamann had 8 points; Brooke Frederick and Megan Hiatt had 7 each.

Next, Hershey will host Sidney Saturday in a match up of two highly-rated teams. Sidney (12-3) is ranked seventh in the state in class B. Hershey is rated No. 2 in class C-1.

Tip off is at 5:30 p.m.
