The Patriots led by six points at halftime, but their offense sputtered too often in the game with missed opportunities, dropped passes and stalled drives.

In the second half, Baltimore put together an opening drives that went nearly the length of the field. New England could not answer and the Ravens put together a 67-yard touchdown drive, scoring on the first play of the fourth quarter.

The Ravens' defense, helped by New England miscues and three turnovers, held the Patriots scoreless the entire second half.

It was the first time since early in the 2009 season that the talented Patriots’ offense was held to less than two touchdowns in a game, The New York Times reported.

New England dominated the first half statistics, getting nearly twice as many offensive plays as Baltimore, but couldn’t find the end zone often, settling for two field goals, one as the time expired just before halftime.

Woodhead shook off a thumb injury and played. He rushed for 11 yards on three carries and caught a pass for a 12-yard gain.

Woodhead, a North Platte native, finished the season with 747 total yards and three touchdowns. He had 301 rushing (averaging 4 yards per carry) and 446 yards receiving (11.2 yards per reception.)
