Danny Woodhead has been ruled questionable for the AFC Championship game after suffering a thumb injury in the New England Patriots' win over the Houston Texans Sunday.

Even though he is listed as questionable one day after the win over the Texans, Dan Roche of WBZ-TV in Boston reported that Woodhead should be good to go for the AFC title game against the Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 20.

Woodhead has taken a leading role in the Patriots backfield.

But in the 41-28 win over Houston in the AFC divisional playoff game, Woodhead left the game after carrying once for no gain. But even without Woodhead and star tight end, Rob Gronkowski, who was disabled in the game with a broken forearm, the Patriots' offense didn't miss a beat.

Quarterback Tom Brady threw for three touchdowns and running backs Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen each rushed for a touchdown.

Like a lot of people I know, we would like to see the Patriots run over the Ravens after knocking out the Broncos. Go Patriots! And hope Danny is good to go...

I love that Danny is rep'n North Platte in the NFL, but I agree with Mr. dadof9 below. I hope Baltimore dismantles the Pats. I don't think they will but I hope they do!

Thumb injury or whatever. Ravens are gonna run over them! Danny's better off sitting this one out. Ray Lewis will hurt him.

it would be good to have him but we will be ok without him to.the patriots coach always keeps his team so deep that another quality player can be put in that spot.now if Tom Brady goes down id be worried but not woodhead.
