Swimming: North Platte boys finish fifth in Lincoln Tell North Platte what you think

The North Platte boys swimming team finished fifth Saturday at the Cotter Invitational at Lincoln High Schools.

The girls were ninth.

Lincoln High won the meet with 260 points. The Dawgs scored 153 points.

Grand Island won the girls competition with 319 points. The Lady Dawgs scored 68 points.

For the North Platte boys, Landon Jahnke was fourth in the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:25.62. Jahnke also placed sixth in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 56.16.

Tyler Halligan was fourt in the 100-meter backstroke, in 1:01.58. Charley Halligan finished sixth in the 500-meter freestyle with a time of 6:07.32.

For the North Platte girls, Kelly Fitzpatrick was seventh in the 100-meter backstroke (1:16.19); Lydia Darling was 11th in the 200-meter IM (2:51.30) and Kim Hall was 12th in the 50-meter freestyle (28.55).
