Police search for stolen safe Tell North Platte what you think

Around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, North Platte police responded to a report of a burglary at Ideal Linen near downtown.

Someone forcibly entered the business, removed a safe and possibly drove off with the safe in an Ideal delivery truck, Police Information Officer Rodney Brown said.

The burglarly occured sometime after business hours Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. but before 3:15 a.m.

Law officers found the Ideal truck around 8 a.m. Wednesday near Lake Maloney, but Brown said the safe has not been found and the exact contents are not yet known.

The investigation continues.

Ideal Linen is at 116 W. Sixth St.
