Jeremy Tobey, 28, of North Platte is in jail, charged with domestic assaults after his girlfriend said he hurt her at least twice. The woman, as well as a witness, told police that Tobey hurt her Thursday morning at their home in the 900 block of West Sixth, Police Information Officer John Deal said. The woman also said Tobey attacked her on New Year’s Day, grabbing her around the throat until she reportedly blacked out. She said Tobey also pulled a knife and threatened her with it, Brown said. Brown said Tobey has a prior charge of domestic assault too. Tobey is charged with three counts of assault, one count of strangulation, making terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and child abuse, because a child was present during the alleged ruckus. His bond is set at $100,000.
