The Friends of the Library Brown Bag Luncheon series resumes at the North Platte Public Library with Dust Covered Dreams and Four Blue Stars in the Window by Barbara Eymann Mohrman at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Join Barbara as she shares the gritty story of hard-scrabble life in rural Oakdale, Neb., beginning in the heyday of the 1920s, through the Dust Bowl ravaged plains and Great Depression during the 30s, and the emotional stories that lead up to 1947.

Copies of Barbara’s book will be on hand for purchase and autographs.

This free program is open to the public. Attendees may bring their lunch. Coffee, tea and water will be provided. Space is limited to 70 so please call the library at 535-8036 to reserve a seat by the day before, Tuesday Jan. 8.
