Branden and Tad Pfeifer
|
Tad Pfeifer has been a consistent force as a mentor in the North Platte TeamMates program for over two years. He was matched with Branden two years ago. Pfeifer is the Director of Planning and Grants at Mid-Plains Community College. He is happily married with three children. In his limited free time, Pfeifer enjoys reading a good book along with watching football and NASCAR racing. He also loves being a Mentor because it connects him to the youth in our community. He takes pride in being a role model and believes it’s important to be there for a child who is not his own. Branden is an eighth grader at Our Redeemer Lutheran School. He enjoys school; math is is favorite class. He enjoys watching and playing football and loves to play basketball with his friends. Branden isn’t sure what he wants to be when he gets out of school but knows he has a few years to figure it out. Branden like having a mentor because it gives him someone else to talk to and trust, and he likes to see Tad at his sporting events. Both Tad and Branden said they were comfortable hanging out the first time they met because they believe they have a lot in common, while having fun together. Currently meet at lunch period, and keep a “running score” on who the weekly winner is in Scrabble or Battleship.
