A North Platte man allegedly put a BB pistol to someone’s head, and then pistol whipped the victim. Police said they charged Rosendo D. Duran, 21, with pointing the pistol at someone in the 1200 block of East Fourth Wednesday morning at 8:34 a.m. The pistol looked like a larger caliber weapon, police spokesman John Deal said. Duran allegedly hit the victim in the head with the pistol, Deal said. The two were thought to be arguing over toothpaste. Deal said they didn’t live together but were acquaintances. It was Duran’s eighth arrest since March 2010. Most recently, Duran was convicted of stealing three cell phones from a Viaero Wireless kiosk in the Platte River Mall on July 20.
