An anonymous donor to the Prairie Arts Center will enable the developing center to receive two dollars for every dollar donated between now and the end of the year. Arts Center spokesman Gene Gilsdorf said Tuesday that up to 75,000 is available in matching funds.
Take a virtual tour of the developing Prairie Arts Center at the lower right side of the front page of the Bulletin's website.
"We don't know what Congress will do with charitable donations but we know for sure such contributions are deductible for 2012," Gilsdorf said. "This two-dollars-for-every-one-received is a tremendous opportunity to enable the renovation project to more quickly open the doors of The Prairie Arts Center. On Dec. 17, Pat Wagner, representing the North Platte High School class of 1962, presented the Prairie Arts fund raising project a check for $1,000. This donation qualifies for matching funds, Gilsdorf said. To take advantage of the opportunity and donate any amount, call (308) 534-3315 or stop by Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation at 120 N. Dewey. They will accept a credit card for the donation. Also, you may mail your donation to Prairie Arts Center at P.O. Box 266, North Platte NE 69103.
