I do not know how you feel, but as long as an estimated one-fifth of the kids in this country go to bed hungry each night, I do not want to hear about Beyonce’s $5 million birthday present.

As long as there are millions of families who had jobs and homes a few years ago, but are now living on the street, I do not care to know the color of Jessica’s five or six figure wedding dress, or her next one, or the one after that.

As long as Congress continues to refuse to work together to try to help those who desperately need it, I’d prefer to be spared the latest details about LiLo’s train wreck life and what rock band she is currently sleeping with.

As long as half of the people in this country are listed by the U.S. Census Bureau as “low income” or “poor,” I do not want to hear how we must protect the wealthy “job creators.” They are not creating anything except more wealth for themselves. It is called “greed” and “selfishness,” and combined with arrogance and a lack of ethics, is what nearly destroyed our economy.

The true worthiness of a person’s life is measured in terms of what one has done for others, not by how much wealth one has acquired at the expense of others.
