Danny Woodhead

Lightning quick, small and agile, North Platte's Danny Woodhead is eligible for the NFL Pro Bowl, boosted by an excellent season as running back with the New England Patriots.

Used mostly in special situations, Woodhead has gained 3.7 yards per carry so far this season for a total of 521 yards. He's scored four touchdowns.

The North Platte native joins his fellow running back Stevan Ridley as a Pro Bowl nominee. Ridley is a key runner for the Pats, gaining nearly 1,300 yards so far this season.

Woodhead, a crowd favorite, generates enthusiasm with his speed, agility and can-do spirit despite his relatively small size at 5' 7".
