The offense for the Sutherland girls was in high gear for most of the game Thursday, as the Sailors rolled over Wallace, 70-23.
Joli Hopping had a hot hand from outside in the first quarter, hitting three three-pointers and the Sailors (5-1) led after the first quarter, 21-6.
Wallace (1-4) stifled Sutherland's outside shooters in the second quarter and the teams played evenly, but the Sailors penetrated the defense in the third quarter and the blowout was on.
Sutherland held Wallace to just eight points in the second half.
"We started getting inside more in the third quarter and got everyone in the game," Sutherland Coach Jason Gunderson said. "It was good to see us do that."
Hopping had 15 ponts in the game. Teammates Sam Kennedy and Jalyene Schuster each had 12 and several Sailors scored.
Christina Daniels scored 11 points to lead Wallace's offense.
Next, Sutherland travels to Hayes Center Friday.
