The North Platte boys swim team scored 70 points Friday, just 16 less than first-place Scottsbluff, in a four-team swim meet in Scottsbluff. The Lady Dawgs also finished second, far behind Scottsbluff. The team scores: Boys: Scottsbluff-86, NPHS-70, Hastings-52 and McCook-25. Girls-Scottsbluff-124, NPHS-69, McCook-26 and Hastings-15. For the boys, Zac Burns won the 100 yard breststroke. North Platte finished 1-2-3 in the 500 yard freestyle, with Charlie Halligan leading the way. The boys 400-yard freestyle team was second. For the girls, Jackie Paloucek and Allexis Menghini finished first and second respectively in 1-meter diving. Both the boys and girls 200 meter relay teams both finished second, and both 200-yard freestyle relay teams were second.
