Christopher Boe, 19, of North Platte, was convicted Monday of attempted sexual assault of a child. Boe pled guilty to an amended charge of for a sexual encounter with a girl less than 16 yrs. old. He was arrested on Sept. 18 and has been in the jail since. Boe waived his preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty in accordance with an agreement with the Lincoln County Attorney’s Office. Defense attorney Ryan Wilcox of McCook asked for a pre-sentence investigation, which was granted by Judge Donald Rowlands. Wilcox also asked for a bond reduction from $100,000 to $50,000. Deputy Lincoln County Attorney Jennifer Wellan had no objection, as long as Boe was required to report daily to the sheriff’s office. Rowlands lowered the bond and included the reporting requirement.
