Two people died on Nebraska roads during the Thanksgiving holiday from Nov. 21-26, the Nebraska State Patrol said Monday. The two deaths were in Howard and Thayer Counties. The same number of people died in traffic accidents during the same time a year ago, State Patrol Spokeswoman Deb Collins said.

1,340 speeding citations
286 motorist assists
68 no proof of insurance
42 child restraint citations and warnings
39 citations for driving under the influence, 21 for open alcohol containers and 12 for minor in possession.
