North Platte police busted a man and woman Tuesday on drug charges. the investigation began with a fight, which was reported to the police around 3 p.m. on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
Police officers responded to the 600 block of Rodeo Road on a report of a domestic disturbance. The alleged victim said his domestic partner, Faith Cleveland, 23, kicked and hurt him.
During the assault investigation, police also found drug paraphernalia, marijuana and a white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine in the home.
After further investigation, police found cause to arrest Cleveland on Tuesday and charge her with misdemeanor third degree domestic assault, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
They also found probable cause to arrest a man at the home on the same day -- 21-year-old Justin Freeze of Sutherland -- for possession of methamphetamine.
Both were taken to the Lincoln County Jail.
Cleveland paid the required 10 percent of a $1,000 bond and was released the next day. Freeze remains in jail on $10,000 bond.
