When police arrested Steven Marquez of North Platte on Nov. 19, they also picked up Isidro Ortiz, Jr. of North Platte, who was wanted for alleged terroristic threats. Police met a complaintant on Nov. 11 who said Ortiz had pointed a handgun at them during an argument. That disturbance was in the 400 block of N. Poplar. The alleged victim ran out of the house and contacted police. Ortiz could not be found at that time, but on Nov. 19 he was arrested while riding a car with Marquez and another man, Kenneth E. Cassell. Police pulled the car over when Marquez failed to signal a lane change. A search turned up two handguns and a shotgun in the car. Ortiz was arrested for terroristic threats on Nov. 11, for being a felon in possession of a firearms in the vehicle and for use of firearm to commit a felony. His bond was set at $100,000. Marquez, a convicted felon, was arrested and jailed for possession of firearms. Cassell as charged with accessory to a felony.
