A fight Saturday night at the Touchdown Club brought the police, where they found a group of people near the south door throwing punches.

Police Information Officer Rodney Brown said responding officers saw Marlan Fox, 27, trying to strike employees and others who were present in a group.

After police arrived, Fox continued to be combative towards the officers, who had to use physical force to restrain him, Brown said.

Fox was arrested for third-degree assault and resisting arrest and taken to the Lincoln County Detention Center, where he continued to act aggressively towards the jail staff, Brown said.

Fox is charged with four crimes, including a parole violation and aggravated assault with bodily fluids on a police officer, a charge that was added Monday.

His bond was initially set at $5,000.
