GRAND ISLAND-The North Platte St. Pat's volleyball team finished in fourth place at the Class C2 state volleyball tournament on Saturday after losing to Hastings St. Cecilia in the consolation match. The two teams were the top two seeds entering state with St. Pat's being No. 1 and St. Cecilia No. 2. In the Omaha World-Herald's Class C2 rankings, it was the Hawkettes No. 1 and St. Pat's ranked second. In the state title match, Hartington Cedar Catholic (31-5), the team that defeated St. Cecilia in the semifinals, defeated Norfolk Lutheran High Northeast in four sets. Norfolk Lutheran (30-6) came into the match as the two-time defending state champion.
