North Platte's Connection Homeless Shelter will host a “Box Out” Nov. 15-18 in the parking lot of Gary’s Superfoods to raise money for the shelter.

The fundraiser will also to bring attention to the impact of homelessness on communities, the state and nation.

Those who would like to participate are asked to bring a box, which will be a representation of the living conditions of the homeless population of our country, organizers say.

the event runs from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. all three days. Lunch will be served Nov. 16 by Nebraskaland National Bank and on Nov. 17 by First National Bank from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. each day.

A free-will offering will be collected for lunch.

Come support your local homeless shelter and help us bring awareness to the crisis of homelessness that exists in our nation.

Gary's is at 1620 E. Fourth in North Platte.
