GRAND ISLAND-Brady's season came to an end on Thursday when the Eagles were swept by Mead in the first round of the Nebraska State Volleyball Tournament at Central Catholic High School.

Mead (27-4), a team from the Wahoo area, swept Brady 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 to advance to the Class D2 semifinals. On Friday, the top-seeded Raiders will play fifth seed Cedar Valley (25-6).

The Eagles end with a record of 23-8.
