• North Platte Community College – Trojan Women, a contemporary retelling of Euripides’ classic tragedy with modern music including music by Johnny Cash, Metallica and U2. 8 p.m. Adults: $10, seniors/youth: $5.


Thursday, Nov. 8

• First Lutheran Church (305 W. Fifth) – Turkey Dinner. 5-7 p.m. Tickets: adults $8.50, children 4-10 $4.50. Purchase at church office before Nov. 5.


Friday, Nov. 9

• A to Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – Open Mic Nite. Blues nite. Established performers and newcomers. 7-10:30 p.m. Free-will donation. Refreshments provided or bring your own.

• Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Bases Loaded of Kearney. 9 p.m. Cover charge.

• Eagles Club - live music by The Gary Phipps Show, starts 8:30 p.m. Open to the public.

• Rail Bar (520 N. Jeffers) - live music by Blue Collar, award-winning band. 9 p.m.-close. Cover charge.


Saturday, Nov. 10

• St. Partick’s Church (415 N. Chestnut) – St. Patrick’s Christmas Boutique with food and drink. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets $6.

• Depot Grill & Pub/Rail Bar (520 N. Jeffers) – Leyha Jane Bartles benefit and auction. 6 p.m.-midnight. Live music by the award-winning Blue Collar band.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Bases Loaded. 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Sunday, Nov. 11

• Downtown – Veterans Day Parade 2-3 p.m.

• Veterans Memorial – Veteran’s Day service 4-5 p.m.

• VFW Post 1504 - live music by Ray Mullen. 7-10 p.m. Free will donation.


Wednesday, Nov. 14

• Pop Corner (1847 W. A) – Live piano and song by Shermie. 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

• VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – adult dance lessons ranging from Country, Latin, Ballroom, and Swing. 7-9 p.m. $3 per person.

• North Platte Senior Center (900 E. Tenth) – the Golden Classics, a four-piece combo, plays a dance. 7-10 p.m. $3.


Thursday, Nov. 15

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – D.L. Marble opening for Turnpike Troubadours. 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Friday, Nov. 16

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music by Lewis Brice. 9 p.m. Cover charge. Silent auction starts at 7 p.m. and 50 percent of the door will benefit the Gentry and Grasz families.


Sunday, Nov. 18

• Brady Community Building - Leyha Jane Bartles benefit, dinner and auction w/ live music. Dinner begins at 11:30 a.m. Auction at 1:30 p.m. Rascal Entertainment from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
