Mail: Fischer signed, no compromiseTell North Platte what you think

I don't know about you, but I am tired of all the ads Fischer and Kerrey are running on television. I do not know where all the Kerrey money is coming from, but am sure that $500,000 from Joe Ricketts is being used by Fischer.

I wonder what Ricketts expects to get for his money? Kerrey attacks Fischer's character and Fischer defends herself.

Character is important of course, but what concerns me is not so much the land deal, or being a welfare rancher. What concerns me and should concern all of us is her politics.

Fischer has signed Grover Norquist's pledge to not raise taxes, even on the wealthy. She wants to replace Medicare with a voucher system, costing the retired a lot more money for medical care and prescription drugs; she wants to repeal Obamacare and cut the food stamp program, but increase the farm program.

She says she will not cut social security for anyone over 40, but has no plan to get the money to maintain the program as is for the next 40 years, until 40 year olds get to be 80.

Guess she plans on getting her entitlements, but does not care if her children or grandchildren do. She wants a balanced budget, but no cuts to defense, education or veterans. She plans to pay for this by growing the economy.

She says she can work with Democrats but in signing the Norquist pledge she has already signed up with the party of NO.

If you are retired, are receiving Social Security and Medicare or Medicaid or nutritional assistance, you should pay close attention to Deb Fischer. She is not your friend.

Tough to compromise with a party who leaders don't believe in the Constitution or the individual.
