The Wallace Wildcats defeated Wauneta-Palisade Tuesday in the subdistrict final in a wild five-set match. Wallace cruised in to a 25-15 win in the first set, but Wauneta-Palisade turned the tables on them in the next two sets, winning 25-10, 21-16, before the Wildcats came back to take the fourth set, 25-21 and prevail in an overtime tiebreak set, 19-17. Wauneta-Palisade finishes its season with a 14-12 record. Wallace advances to face Brady (24-7) in the district final on Thursday. Wallace defeated Brady earlier in the season.
