Playoffs: Maxwell avenges regular season lossTell North Platte what you think

Maxwell won its first round state playoff game Thursday night by going on the road and defeating a teams they lost to in the regular season.

The Maxwell Wildcats (4-5) turned the tables on Paxton shocking the Tigers, 40-12, in the first round of the Class D1 playoffs.

The score was stark contrast from the regular season meeting on Sept. 21. In that game, which was also played in Paxton, the Tigers (6-3) blasted the Tigers 54-18.

On Oct. 31, the Wildcats hope to do the same against Arapahoe (9-0), its second round opponent.

On Aug. 31, the Warriors trounced Maxwell 52-14 in Arapahoe. But the Cats will have the home field this time at Brittenham Park. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
