To the administrator, Great Plains Regional Medical Center: I recently had the good fortune to be transported by North Platte Fire and Rescue to your fine Emergency Department. They saw I was in distress and gently calmed me. They made a diagnosis and started me on the road to recovery.
I spent five days on 2 East. The only thing I could think of that would make patients feel more at home would be if you made a card stating the channel name and number for the TV and laminated them.
It can get irritating to the patient and roommate to continually flip through the channels. The laminated cards would be cost-effective also, if purchased at RSVP, 900 East 10th, in North Platte.
I praise the entire staff, including the LPN students, for making my stay one of safety and pleasure. My first few days I was lucky enough to see, through my window, the leaves on the trees turn red and our glorious American Flag flying high.
I would especially like to commend one of your nurses, Lynne Ward. She went above and beyond what her position required. She answered all my questions in a manner I could understand. If she saw I was having an anxiety attack, she could talk me down without medication. When I needed help, she was always there for me. Although your entire nursing staff is wonderful, in Lynne Ward you have an angel in disguise.
