With the exception of a third-set hiccup, the North Platte High School volleyball team closed its home season Tuesday night with its best volleyball of the year, defeating Grand Island. "I thought we played really well except the third set," NPHS coach Laura Miller said of the 25-18, 25-18, 10-25, 25-20 victory. "I was glad to see the consistency we had in the first, second and fourth sets." The teams battled for the first 10 points of the match but the Lady Bulldogs (16-10) took control midway through the first set.
The Lady Dawgs were clad in pink in observation of breast cancer awareness month. For the full story, click "sports" on the navigation bar at the top of the page.
