A car ran into the Chiropractic Life Center on West A St. Tuesday. The driver said she mistakenly stepped on the gas instead of the brake. Henrietta Blue, 86, drove into the building in her 1998 Chrysler Town and Country van at 10:23 a.m., according to a North Platte Police report. Blue is from Ogallala. The car was registered to the Haythorn Land and Cattle Company. The chiropractic center is in the Westfield shopping plaza, at 1925 West A. The building sustained an estimated $12,000 in damages, according to the accident report. Policeman Brian Folchert said that Blue mistook the accelerator for the brake pedal. Herbst Towing had to pull the Town and Country out of the side the building, and as the car came free it rolled into the back of the tow truck, damaging the back end of the car too, Flochert said.
