Several days of cold weather arrived in the North Platte area Wednesday. Up to three days of 40 degree days and 20 degree nights were forecast, according to the National Weather Service. Strong winds, light rain and about three inches of snow fell overnight Wednesday as the temperture dipped to 31 degrees. The high Thursday was 40 as north wind blew up to 20 miles an hour. The low overnight was 25 and the highs Thursday and Friday are forecast in the 40s. The temperture will warm a few degrees to 50 on Saturday, the weather service said. The high Monday is forecast at 60.
