| Mail: Not enough answers from Fischer | |
| by Letter to the editor - 10/19/2012 |

What, no answer from Deb Fischer on what government programs she’s going to vote to cut? Well that’s no surprise. Either: • She doesn’t know or doesn’t have a plan. She just wants you to trust her to make the right choices for Nebraskans once she gets to Washington. • She knows exactly what programs she’s going to vote to cut, but doesn’t want to tell us, because it might ruin her chances of being elected. They say that actions speak louder than words. Well the way you treated your neighbors, Bruce and Betty Kime speak volumes about your character. They were generous enough to let you have the use of their land and then you tried to cheat them out of that land but the Courts ruled against you. You were then vindictive enough to use your power as a state senator to prevent the Kimes from selling their land to the state, an effort that also failed. Those are not the values that Nebraskans value. Oh, and by the way, what favor do you owe Joe Ricketts for helping you win the primary election with his injection of cash?

To quote you gyps...."a fundamental lack of respect for people, it reveals a poor upbringing, it displays a lack of manners", Wow, my parents would be horrified to hear your opinion of my upbringing by them. Gyps, you should be ashamed of yourself, you made shut up look good with your accusations. I am a college graduate, a professional, a parent and grandparent, and I would NEVER talk to anyone the way you just talked to me. I am a Republican and damned proud of it. Now make something of that, or just move on to someone you can intimidate, because you don't intimidate me and I would gladly meet you face to face and have you spew your rhetoric. |

Fox,
My comment referring to Mr. Rickett as not being one of your children or spouse had nothing to do with YOUR family and everything to do with the fact that people, whether they are or are not family members, do not deserve to be spoken to with such vile disrespect. If you honestly misconstrued my comments I would like to take this opportunity to apologize. However, I believe it is much more likely that you intentionally misinterpreted my statement in an attempt to take the position of the victim and display yourself in a more righteous light. It is a common practice employed by those who know they are wrong and who argue from a less than advantageous position.
Concerning the Fischer’s attempt to swindle the land that once was owned by the Kime family: Are you disputing the fact that, after several failed attempts to purchase the land, the Fischer’s sued the Kime’s in an attempt to gain ownership of the Kime land? Remember, the fact that they did is publicly accessible court records. Or, are you disputing the fact that after the court ruled in favor of the Kime family that the long established fence on the property inexplicably disappeared and that the Fischer’s then demanded that the county reassess the property line and that the property line that the Fischer’s suggested infringed onto what the court had already ruled as Kime property? Again, remember that the fact that the county ruled against the Fischer’s is public record. You can emphatically state “enough said” all you want, what you can not do is turn make believe into fact.
Telling me to “shut up” does not bother me, fox. What it does is show a fundamental lack of respect for people, it reveals a poor upbringing, it displays a lack of manners and it serves as a glaring example of how public discourse has devolved to the lowest denominator, but what it does not do is bother me. In fact, it has become what I have learned to expect from the fanatical right.

Gyps..no I am not a far right extreamist or a tea party member, just to set you right. My remarks appalling? Mr. Ricketts's verbal abuse of everyone who is not Democrat is appalling. As for Fishers, yes it is public record and yes a boundary dispute but not the "swindling you refer to. Arrogant manner? What you see as arrogant manner is aimed at the wrong person or persons. You and Mitchel are the arrogant ones for hating the fact or facts that prove you wrong. And if "shut up" bothers you, too bad. And let's leave children and husbands out of this, your statement about my family is appalling. Enough said! Vote Fischer, and Romney. |

fox, unfortunately you have apparently drank the tea parties Kool Aid. Fischer did in fact attempt to swindle the property that belonged to the Kime's, it's public record, easily researchable. Of course, you are one of those far right extremist that hopes that if you state something in an arrogant manner that most people will take it to be the truth without doing the research for themselves. Not only did she attempt to swindle the land out of them, but after that failed the fence line mysteriously disappeared and the Fischer's again attempted to swindle the same piece of land only this time the county put a stop to it. Again, fox, public record. By the way, your "just shut up" instructions are insulting. I don't believe Mr. Rickett is one of your children and I would be shocked if he were your spouse, and even if he were that kind of treatment is appalling. Then again, this type of disrespect is exactly what I have come to expect from the right wing extremists. |

I think Sarah Palin had more to do with Fischer winning the primary than Joe Ricketts. As to these odd attacks on how she prevented the state from buying a piece of property. Any bill must pass the full legislature, it must be discussed and debated, this idea that something was slipped through in the dead of night is silly but this election has gotten silly. |

Mitchell rickety..you don't have a clue what you are talking about when you reference Deb Fishers treatment of her neighbors, or EXACTLY what the lawsuit en- tailed. Sorry to say this, but you are the epitomy of
a Democrat Liberal "Know it all". For once just shut-up and accept the fact that you are not always right. Your far left opinions are just your opinions and thank God not all people are as small minded as you. |
