Bankers will visit four North Platte classrooms next week to help students develop responsible credit habits. NebraskaLand National Bank is teaming up with the American Bankers Association Education Foundation’s "Get Smart About Credit" program. The program is now in its 10th year. On Oct. 22, NebraskaLand National Bank will visit North Platte High School, Personal Finance Classroom at 2 p.m. The bank plans to teach students about managing their accounts, understanding a credit report, preventing identity theft and more. “The GSAC program allows NebraskaLand National Bank to start young people on the road to a positive credit history,” says Rhonda Anderson, Relationship Banking Manager. “Teaching students how to save and budget will help them manage their finances in the future. The choices young adults make with their first credit experience will impact their financial life for years to come, including their ability to rent, get a job or eventually purchase a home.”
