Pro-life group to address city councilTell North Platte what you think

Planned Parenthood opponents will appear before the North Platte City Council Tuesday, according to Ed Rieker, the chairman of the Western Nebraska Community for Life.

Rieker said the group will present petitions to the council with more than 2,000 signatures.

"This will be our primary opportunity where we can show the city council and the mayor that over 2,000 people in North Platte and the surrounding area do not want Planned Parenthood in North Platte," Rieker said in a widely circulated email that was sent to the Bulletin.

Rieker plans to make a short presentation about Planned Parenthood and "what they do and why we do not want them in North Platte," he wrote. "This is one of the main efforts we have undertaken to keep Planned Parenthood out of North Platte."
