Jessy Ellison, 31, of Brady was arrested Sunday night, charged with three crimes of violence. Ellison was intoxicated, and assaulted and threated his girlfriend with a gun, according to a 911 call that came from north of Brady at 9:20 p.m. While deputies were enroute, they received another report that Ellison had fired weapons and ran away from the home. When deputies arrived, the woman said she had been physically assaulted. She said Ellison pointed firearms at her and shot them in the air, according to a sheriff's statement. The woman said she tried to call 911 but Ellison broke her phone. But eventually her daughter was able to call for assistance. Ellison was hiding in a field north of the house. Using a telephone, a deputy convinced him to turn himself in, the statement said. Deputies said they found a pistol and two rifles in his possession. Ellison was officially booked Monday into the Lincoln County Jail on the following charges: terroristic threats, use of a firearm to commit a felony and third-degree assault - domestic violence.
