Seamus Oakman, 36, was headed east in his Toyota Camry when Brian Culbertson, 23, pulled out in front the Camry in his Ford Ranger pickup, according to a police report. Oakman was taken to Great Plains Regional Medical Center.

Culbertson told police that he stopped at the sign before he pulled into the intersection, but didnít recall looking to his left, the direction from which Oakman was coming.

A witness told police investigator Matt Phillips that Culbertson pulled out in front of Oakman.

Culbertsonís pickup sustained an estimated $8,000 in damage. Oakmanís Camry was damaged to the tune of $6,000, Phillips said.
