College, museum team up for hauntingTell North Platte what you think

A hauntingly good time is in store at “Spirit Hunting in a Ghost Town," a thrilling scene that will be held Oct. 24-31 at the Lincoln County Historical Museum Village.

A coloring contest, pumpkin coloring, and other activities are on tap for little goblins. Toasted marshmallows, cookies, apple cider and hot chocolate will scare away those spooky hunger pangs.

The event will run from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 24-25 and from 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 26-31. Admission is $6 for ages nine and up and free for children eight and under.

The Kid’s Activity Area is $3, refreshments are $1 each, and pumpkins will be sold for $1-$20.

The event is a fundraiser for the North Platte Community College Lady Knights softball team and the museum. All proceeds will be split between the two. Additional sponsors include the North Platte Telegraph and ROCK 100.7 radio.

For more information, contact NPCC Lady Knights coach Janelle Higgins at (515) 419-5801or by email at higginsj@mpcc.edu.
