Three North Platte St. Pat’s girls finished in the top four Friday, as the Irish cross country team won the South Platte Valley conference meet.

The O’Malley cousins, Anna and Mandy finished first and second, respectively, and Maggie Vinton was fourth in the six-team race.

Just three seconds separated the O’Malleys. Anna finished in 16 minutes, 33 seconds and Mandy ran the course in 16:36.

Emily Kemling of Perkins County was third in 16:57 and Vinton finished in 17:11.

Irish runners Jodicce Torrez was 8th, Lexi Allison 9th and Jamie Smith 10th to help the Irish claim the title.

Boys

Joe O’Malley of St. Pat's won the boys race in 18:27, 20 seconds ahead of the field.

The Irish team was second in the conference race. O'Malley toured the course in 18:27.

St. Pat’s Brandon Akins was fourth in 19:21.
