Candidates to debate on Sunday Tell North Platte what you think

City council and mayoral candidates will debate at 7 p.m. Sunday on the stage of the Neville Center for Performing Arts.

Mayoral candidates Marc Kaschke and Dwight Livingston will lead the public forum.

Also squaring off are council candidates Brook Baker vs. Josh Welden, Dan McGuire vs. Andrew Lee, and Larry Campbell vs. Tracy Martinez.

Glenn Peterson and Barb Keller are also scheduled but have not confirmed yet, organizer Nate Christopher said.

The live forum will be broadcast on KODY, 1240 AM. George Keltz of Mugs in the Morning will moderate.

Candidates with make opening remarks and then answer questions submitted by the public about such issues as Iron Eagle Golf Course, the Golden Spike and the Quality Growth Fund, Christopher said.

There is no charge to attend.

Chamber of Commerce

The Governmental Affairs committee of the North Platte Area Chamber and Development Corporation will hold a candidates forum at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29.

The forum in the North Platte Public Schools McKinley Center, 301 West F.

The format will be a series of questions supplied by members of the news media.
