Bond was set Friday at $50,000 for Edward Leza, charged with sexual assault of a minor girl.

Leza, 58, was charged Aug. 2 for third-degree sexual assault after the alleged victim – a teenage girl -- said he had touched her inappropriately in the past, while he was staying at her home.

At the time of the accusation, Leza was in jail in Omaha so a warrant was issued and Leza was transferred to the Lincoln County Detention Center.

It was Leza’s fourth arrest in Lincoln County in the last year.

Attorney Stephen Potter was assigned to be his public defender. A preliminary hearing will be Oct. 12.
