Randall Northey of Hershey was charged for third-degree assault on Saturday night, after police found him trying to leave a house with three children, much to the consternation of his girlfriend.

According to a North Platte police report, a bottle of alcohol was broken on the floor when the police arrived at 10:30 p.m. to the house in the 1600 block of W. Ninth.

There was evidence that Northey, 28, had thrown his girlfriend on the floor, causing cuts and bruises, police said.

Northey was charged with third-degree domestic assault and child abuse — both misdemeanors.
