FB: Brady over WallaceTell North Platte what you think

The Brady Eagle football team knocked off Wallace in convincing fashion Friday, 42-26.

Brady (2-4) put together a sustained attack in the second quarter to break a 6-0 ballgame open. Brady led at halftime, 28-14.

It was more of the same in the third quarter, when Brady tacked on another 14 points and held Wallace (4-2) to only six.

Wallace secored six more points in the fourth quarter, the only points of the final period but not enough to threaten.

"We showed great energy," Wallace coach Andy Seamann said. "We knew we had our backs to the wall and need to win our last three to make the playoffs. We've lost to three top 10 teams. We're a better team than our record indicates."

Senior quarterback Zach Mann led the offense with 30 carries for 216 yards and 4 touchdowns. Mann also had a good night throwing, completing 7-11 passes for 107 yards.

Senior fullback Michael Neiman rushed 21 times for 71 yards and 2 touchdowns.

On defense, linebacker Levi Destephano, a sophomore, had 18 tackles, including one sack. Mann had 14 tackles and 2 pass deflections.

"Wallace is a good team," Seamann said. "They have a good offense and scored on us. We had a couple mental errors but nothing that can't be fixed. The team played a great game."

Next, Brady faces Hayes Center (2-3).
