Wednesday, Oct. 3 • VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m. • North Platte Senior Center (900 E. Tenth) – the Golden Classics, a four-piece combo, plays a dance. 7-10 p.m. $3.
Thursday, Oct. 4 • Public Library (120 W. Fourth) – Carnegie Libraries program by Laureen Riedesel, showcases libraries across Nebraska originally built as part of the Andrew Carnegie Foundations grant. Noon-1 p.m. No charge. • A to Z Books (507 N. Jeffers) – Talk with Bob Thomas, the author of Crump, a book about North Platte High School football coach Crump Redding, who led the Bulldogs to the 1962 state championship. 6:30-8 p.m. Presentation at 7 p.m. No charge.
