He was charged with domestic assault, however I do not agree with having a seperate charge for 'domestic' assault. Those charged with domestic assault usually recieve a lesser sentence than those convicted of non domestic assault. It is as if the courts are saying it isn't 'as bad' to beat up your spouse or life partner as it is to beat on a stranger. To me assault is assault regardless of the relationship between the culprit and the victim.

I used to live on that block. I kept a supply of popcorn on hand to eat while I watched the police come and go from all the buildings.
