Registration is underway for a Common Sense Parenting class, which will be held from 6-8 p.m. on six Tuesday nights in October and November. The class will be held Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30 and Nov. 6 and 13 at Heartland Counseling, 110 N. Bailey in North Platte. The cost is $25 per person or couple. A sliding fee is available based on income. Organizers say the class will give parents effective discipline skills and ehlp them be more positive with their children. Practical techniques, guidelines and suggestions will be taught and practiced. The class is ideal for parents of children ages 6-16. To register, call Shannon at 534-6029, ext. 152.
