The Hershey volleyball team overcame Southwest Thursday in four sets. Hershey (5-4) won the first, 25-15, but Southwest rallied to win the second, 25-21. Hershey prevailed in the critical third set, 25-23 and cruised to a 25-19 win in the fourth and deciding set.
Hershey Coach Amy Beyer said it was a good win over a solid team, but the Lady Panthers played inconsistently.
"Once again we were up and down," Beyer said. "We do some nice things and then shoot ourselves in the foot for a string of points."
Hershey's Maegan Hiatt had 17 kills and Daynlee Miller had 16 kills and three blocks.
Brooke Frederick was 13 of 16 from the service line with two aces for the Panthers.
