Medicine Valley got past Maxwell Tuesday, but it took them four sets to put down the lady Wildcats.

Med Valley won the first set, 25-21 but Maxwell rallied to take the second, 25-23. Med Valley won the third, 25-20 and dominated the fourth set, 25-14.

Josie Cox had 13 kills, one ace serve and four stuff blocks for Maxwell. Teammates Tracy Blake had six kills, 13 digs and two ace serves; Aura Adkisson had 7 kills, four ace serves and Kayla Stenger had 26 set assists with two ace serves.

"We know as a young team that we are going to have some ups and downs along the way," Maxwell Coach Lori Mau said. "This was definitely one of the downs. We will work hard to get better and keep moving forward."
