The Sutherland Sailors volleyball team picked up two wins Tuesday, defeating both Creek Valley and Perkins County in straight sets. Sutherland easily handled Creek Valley, 25-14, 25-11, in the opening match. Joli Hopping had 23 assists in the match for the Sailors and teammate Sam Kennedy had 14 kills and two blocks. In the second match, Sutherland fought back Perkins County team in the first set, 25-21, then cruised to a 25-9 win in the second. Hopping had 17 kills and six digs for Sutherland in the match. Kennedy had 9 kills, a block and three ace serves. Also on the night, Kaley Stokey had 12 digs and four ace serves for the Sailors. Teammates Allison Stewart had seven kills and Kelsey Dillenburg had six kills and one ace serve.
