Shane Melton, 24, was wanted for leaving the scene of an injury accident on Aug. 12 in the 1200 block of N. Buffalo Bill Ave. At the time, he was thought to be driving under a suspended license with no proof of insurance, police information officer Rodney Brown said.

And, he was wanted in Logan County, Brown said.

Police stopped the car Monday near Rodeo Road and Sycamore. Melton was a passenger. He was jailed and is held on $30,000 bond.

Officers also found out that the car was stolen from Missouri. It was reported stolen by the police department in Independence, Mo., after a woman’s her purse and car keys were stolen.

The car was driven by Michael Stone, a Missouri man who is wanted for seven offenses in Lincoln County, including theft, writing bad checks and failures to appear.

Brown said police also found several controlled substances in the car.

Stone was arrested, and new charges of possession of stolen property and possession of controlled substances were added to his past charges.

yes neverforget we agree on alot of the stories on the bulletin just not always under screen name summer.summer is usually my screen name on these drug stories.i use a few other screen names for different types of stories it all depends.alot of us do that.i guess we can all post our opinions that is what the site was set up for.oh and also debates but not to many of debates these days people lost sight of that and we all are guilty of attacking one another from time to time.but it is good to get losers like these 2 off the streets to protect peoples property if you know what i mean.also they will give up names to save there own butts so i guess in the end they will do something sorta good.

Off topic, but hoping to get the attention. There were some stories a while back concerning a Mr Doyle breaking a protection order. Is it possible to get a copy of those stories?
