A North Platte policeman saw Smith at 8:15 a.m. near W. Ninth and Willow, evidently driving on a license that had been revoked for 15 years, police information officer Rodney Brown said.

Officers stopped Smith’s car near his home in the 400 block of W. First.

Brown said while escorting Smith into his home to obtain proof of insurance, an officer saw him trying to dispose of and conceal a marijuana pipe.

Smith, 32, was arrested and charged with felony driving under suspension, attempting to tamper with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia, Brown said.

Yes, the police in NoPlatte are very good. They know who is here and what they are doing for the most part. I like it. Makes you feel safer than living in Omaha.

Amen, Para... This is just too small of a town to pull that off. LOL. If you lose your license, don't drive...if you drive, leave your pipe at home. Hidden... =)

How do you know you live in a small town? When people get pulled over because the police know off the top of their head that a person's license is suspended, lol.
