Emergency response and planning will be the topic of the next LincUP meeting at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24 in the student lounge on the North Campus of the North Platte Community College.

Sue Mulligan will talk about the West Central Medical Response System and discuss a recent decontamination training exercise at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.

September is National Preparedness Month, and Sue Penner with the American Red Cross will share information about how individuals and families can best prepare for emergency situations.

The meeting is open to the public with a public comment period from 5:15 to 5:25 p.m., organizer Lorre McKeone said.

LincUP (Lincoln County - UPRR Community Advisory Panel) is a volunteer panel of community members and railroad representatives that meets monthly to explore health, safety and environmental issues involving the railroad.
